@usws

compatibility is not an issue anymore with Linux. All the basic things you need for computing comes pre-installed. Like openoffice, gimp, pdf reader etc. If you're talking about games, windows based can be played through wine. Other windows application can be run through crossover. So better check it out.

@Joshuaun

hey we're using the same OS, Kubuntu. Congatulations!

I know there was some applications which can protect and lock your pendrive. To prevent virus from coming to your computer or from your computer. But unfortunately it is a chinese software. Anyone interest? If yes, i will try to introduce on my blog...Hahaha....

"With linux, you dn’t need anti virus and anti spywares. Surf all you want." - Yea, but then you'd run into compatibility issues. There's a reason why a majority of people go for mainstream-er OS you know.

If those software don't help.. there's always google and the tonnes and tonnes of sites with step by step instructions on how to remove rogue registry keys, re-enable administrator rights, finding hidden files etc. Jussst incase more software on your computer isn't what you really need.

Maybe it's time for you to install some antivirus/anti-spyware protection :D

Preventing is always better than fixing it heh heh. Besides, you'll never know whether you have truly get rid of the virus/spyware completely!
