Vote Your Favorite Cities For Monopoly World Edition’s Board

Had you played Monopoly game before with your family or friends? For those who are from Malaysia and played Monopoly before, you might be familiar with the terms of Mayfair, Bond Street, Pall Mall and etcetera. When I read today’s The Star newspaper, I just realize the classic Monopoly we normally played was British Edition, where all the properties and cash were written in £ (Pound Sterling).

Unlike USA’s edition, you might know the terms of Broad Walk, the most expensive property, Pennsylvania Avenue, Tennessee Avenue, Kentucky Avenue and other Avenue as well. Well, I am familiar with those names because I own a Millennium Edition Monopoly that my sister bought from United States at least 6 years ago. (Picture above)

Yet again, if you read today’s newspaper, you’ll know that Monopoly is creating the World First Global Monopoly called Here & Now – The World Edition. The things I would like to share here is Mr. Monopoly (Hasbro) will select the Top20 cities voted by worldwide and make it on the board!

Currently, Kuala Lumpur is ranked in Top50 on 3rd page and so far I couldn’t see any Malaysia Wildcard cities on Top20 list. So if want our city listed in The World Edition property, should we vote for Malaysia everyday?

Vote for your favorite cities in Monopoly Website now!! Your votes will be counted until 29th February 2008. So let’s support our country and other favorite cities as well. Started from today I will vote my country everyday until the given deadline.

Next time when I have a chance to play Monopoly broad game with my siblings or friends again, I will post it up to share with you guys to show you how crazy am I during the game session.

    wah!! really very special woh!!

i really forgot when was my last time play monopoly, but i know everytime i play monopoly, it will nvr finish, half way will feel very boring and everybody will just stop.

then when i came to know about “rich”, the chinese version of monopoly in PC game, i nvr play classic monopoly board game anymore…

yipguseng: yeah Monopoly is a long hour game. I spent 4 hours played with my siblings, hard to get 1 person bankrupt. But you can play the timed version where the richest will be the winner. try to play with your friend next time because real Monopoly game fun than Pc game

Wow, a world edition monopoly set.. that’s cool. About the inclusion of Kuala Lumpur (or any other Malaysian city for that matter), i’m only afraid of the value they would put on our city if it does manages to get it. What if our city(s) get really horrible values? Wouldn’t that make certain people quite pissed?

I’ll think i’ll vote KL just cause i love Malaysia. Any form of publicity (okaylah, as long as it’s not bad) for our country is good publicity.

    BYE!

p.s. I’m gonna buy KL! Whee..

usws: Our country population not as big as United States and United Kingdom, So its hard to get our city on top10. At least we tried our best right

I vote for BARCELONA the best city in the world. It is the capital of Catalonia a submitted nation into Spain. The most important artists of XXth century have made their adoption o born country (Gaudí, Miró, Dalí, Picasso, Tàpies, Pau Casals, Montserrat Caballé) All them were Catalan and are well represented in Barcelona.
